Rittersteig (The Knights' Path)
Naturns (554 mt) - Sportplatz - Rittersteig - Plaus (519 mt) - Etschdamm - Naturns
Take the Bahnhofstraße from the village centre towards the Sportplatz and then walk up towards the Jesus Besinnungsweg, the Meditation Path. Then follow path no. 1 over the Rittersteig to reach Waldheim near Dornsberg Castle and continue on through the Hilbertal valley to the Alpine-Well-Fit-Parcours in Plaus. This keep-fit route has five, newly-equipped relaxation areas and is the perfect place for a few health-and-fitness exercises out in the fresh air. Then, refreshed and full of energy, walk on along the Gröbenweg to reach the centre of Plaus where well-known local artist, Luis Stephan Stecher's particularly original Totentanz, The Dance of Death, series of eighteen, colourful painted scenes adorn the walls of the village cemetery and are well-worth seeing. The gentle walk back to Naturns leads along the banks of the river Etsch.
