Naturns (554 mt) - Töll (508 mt) - Vellau (952 mt) - St. Peter - Dorf Tirol (575 mt) - Gratsch (333 mt) - Naturns

Leaving the Tourist Authority Offices of Naturns behing you, turn right when you reach the main road and go on to the traffic lights. Then turn left into the Bahnhofstraße after about 100 mt. and ride on to the bridge over the river Etsch where the cycle path begins. Turn left along this path which follows the river past the little villages of Plaus and Rabland as far as Töll where the trail comes to an end. Cross the main road here and head for Meran, first over a bridge and then downhill for some hundred metres to the turning for Vellau. Turn left here and take the road which meanders upwards along the mountain side, giving yourself time to admire the splendid view of towering mountain peaks in front of you and the lovely panorama of the Meran basin and surrounding fruit orchards further down in the valley. Turn right at the first bend into the Schotterweg which leads to Pirbamegg, past the farmhouse of the same name, and then turn sharp left onto path no. 26, which climbs steeply up to St. Peter and the village of Dorf Tirol. The path takes you past Tyrol Castle and right through the very centre of the village before you turn right downhill at the farthest end of the village, near the mini-golf course, and head for the little hamlet of Gratsch. It thengoes on high above Algund towards Plars where you take the old country road back to Töll and then ride along the Etschdamm cycle path to return to Naturns.
